The GNYBA invites all active members in Unit 155 to attend the annual membership meeting. As usual, for purposes of obtaining an easy quorum and also recognizing few people would come any other time, we will hold the meeting during our December regional.
Specifically, the meeting will begin at Saturday, December 27th at 2:50pm at the New York Marriott Marquis – 1535 Broadway, on the 7th floor in the main playing room. We expect the meeting will be shorter than 10 minutes, but many unit officers and board members will be present if anyone has questions to ask afterward and prior to the beginning of the next session.
The primary agenda of the meeting is to confirm the board and officer slate for 2026. While the nominating committee will propose most board positions and officer posts, any active member in ACBL Unit 155 is eligible to join the board. According to the bylaws, there are a few vacant seats before we reach our maximum of 30 board members.
If you are interested in joining the board, you may obtain 50 signatures from active unit members and submit the petition to our secretary or president. A potentially easier path is to simply talk to your favorite board member and have them circulate your name.
